Is it going on the clutch plates? Or just....?????? You lose a gallon every 15k?
I wouldn't drop the 2k on it. I would wait till something else needs to be fixed near it and do both. Unless it got real badTGUNKEL Thanks this. -
It just started leaking last week.
I would say not a gallon in 15k I'd say maybe a shot glass a day as of now give or take -
Yea I was thinking the same thing but it just drives me crazy to think about all that Oil being spread under my truck. oil leaks and air leaks drive me insane lol
-
Yeah I know. I have the breather line that puts oil all over the driver side of the engine. I changed out the starter and it's covered in oil....... -
its probably rear main seal, dont wait or you gonna end buying a new clutch for it
-
I don't think it's the rear main. It's coming from a higher point then that. Towards the mid to uper gear cover.
-
There is something just above transmission that requires a gasket.
I know this because last week I had a clutch replaced & my shop said they always replace that gasket when doing a clutch because its really easy to do at that point. -
Yeah it was still under warranty when turned up, will not void it because it is a factory ECM setting that's available.
It was turned up by Smith Power Products in SLC - Detroit Diesel.Boardhauler Thanks this. -
I bet that's what they were talking about because that's where it's coming from. And running down the air compressor and dripping down from the oil pan and trans housing
