Hey all,
I recently have been in contact with an o/o who is retired, and until last week had kept his authority active. Once an authority had been deactivated, can it be reactivated without any negative consequences, being it's only been a week? Or did I reach out to him too late?
Thanks in advance
Deactivated authority

If he voluntarily surrendered the authority it can be reinstated by getting insurance and requesting reinstatement. Doesn't take long at all.

Ya . But I believe insurance treats it as a new applicant when rating the policy…….

I did it for about 4 months. Insurance agent said 90 days you'll be treated as a new entrant. When I told him I was going to shop around, magically it came back lower than the year before. I didn't have one issue with brokers but I was hauling cars not freight.Hope that helps!
Soltaker, Keepforgettingmypassword and Vitkouski Thank this. -
Thanks for all the responses... and confirmation. I'm ok with not having my own authority. But would have been a nice perk.
