What is there to explain? I don’t understand what you think that means because a broker calls you. If you’re going to try and make a living running of load boards you better learn areas for what trailers you’re pulling and you need to learn them fast.

I'm just passing this along for anyone that wants an idea of the chances of reloads that wants the advice. Take it if you want. I don't make a living off of loadboards alone, I have my own customers.

I'd like to know where all these trucks running freight for a $1/mi are at; I know I can't seem to find them when I'm looking to move something for cheap. :)

That hasn't been my experience in dealing with them on the spot market. They might on contract rates, do something like that. I however, can't recall a time I've ever moved a full truckload for $1/mi, or even close to that. Even out of Florida, or Denver.

Where are you even getting your information on what mega carriers or any other carrier charge for rates? It doesn’t seem you even understand why in some of these cities you posted large carriers have terminals there

And helping by giving advice is good, but you gave very little information about the areas you posted you didn’t even give equipment type

I routinely get Orlando-Atlanta done for 500. That's about as close to 1$ a mile as I get.

I run within a 150 mile radius, rarely leave Michigan, 53' dry van, I stay out for 4 or 5 days and go home. Plenty of freight and good rates. Short haul is where the money is, at least that is my perception in the past few years.

Brokers usually call the cheapest trucker first.
