What deadlines are trying to be met as a new trucker? What deadlines are all truckers worried about?

I know getting a load in on time is front and center. What about maintaining DOT compliance? Insurance? What else?

What are those things that are always on the back of your mind?

    As a company driver?
As tanker?, my clock 70/14/11. ETA to The nearest tankwash. Days till hometime. Days leading up to hometime I’m worried about improving my eta to hometime

The DOT clock. Think of it as your new inflexible boss. One that could care less about your needs. Everything else will take care of itself.

I just run my 11/14 out, watch my 70, picks and deliveries fit into my schedule or get rescheduled. If your not going to make it, just call in and tell dispatch, Can't make the time need it moved to (what ever works). To get this to work you need to actually drive not hang out in truckstops.
