This sounds like a road rage shooting waiting to happen.

If you’re behind being aggravated and trying to hurry is only gonna make you farther behind.

There’s an age old saying slow down we’re in a ####in hurry there is much truth to that

Yep. Cant hardly call people out for their ######## anymore , they just pull a gun out or brake check the #### out of you... My air horn gets alot of use in the southwest but nothing seems to change other than my blood pressure... Most the times i do nothing just wish i will see that same car wrapped around a telephone pole a couple miles up the road... That would make my day

My truck and the safety equipment requires I drive slow. I have no choice. So I just get my revenge by annoying people and I enjoy being tailgated. It helps to laugh.

Wow. I found this to be about the least stressful job of my life.
Get in the truck and drive, no worries.

But at Swift I had some options that could keep me sane.
The ability to turn down loads that I felt were too tight on time was a big one. The mac 9 is a wonderful tool. They can find another driver closer to the pickup or a driver willing to gamble on the time, or whatever. Once I turn it down it goes away.
Mac 22 for reporting a late status if the weather got bad enough that I didn't want to drive through it. They can reschedule.

Watercolors on SiriusXM radio. Nice calming music...

You need to find a better way to release your anger. Eat a cookie, pet your stuffed duck, whatever. Its not just the idiot you're flashing your lights at - outside of drawing the attention of law enforcement you risk someone behind you calling in - "yeah, some dummy cut your driver off, but then your driver acted really aggressively ".

If I'm running late I just figure I'll get there when I get there. Everything will work out.

My #1 concern is blinding someone or making an unstable person do something crazy and cause an accident killing or injuring someone.

I drive Ryder rental's with unmarked trailers. With 3rd shift law enforcement is in dui mode. However i guess it's a distant 2nd with a concern of getting pulled over for flashing high beams. But man what a release to smack some dummy in the head with the high beams. lol.

Since I do local maybe I'll try driving 55mph and let everyone pass. I usually drive 65mp in a 60mph. However when I just settle for the speed limit I get every one and their mother cutting in front. Can't win.

Dude find another line of work.

I know this much, you’re going to find someone who will not give a crap if you are winning or not, they will not tolerate crap from a truck driver and you flash them, they will not just brake check you but stop you and beat you into the ground.

some drivers think they can control or intimidate others with a truck but they won’t care. Most know you as a driver are not carrying a weapon and once they engage you, you lost all your disadvantage.

If you are local, then you are more of a target, and some people will wait for you to screw with you or to cause you problems.

I've been driving since 2004 when I was 21 and I've learned to just let it go. I deliver to feed stores all over rural south Texas and encounter every kind of driver ever imagined. I'm not doing appointment times so I'm not in a rush. If I'm late so what, I'll get there when I get there. I found out early on that cussing out loud and forgetting about has helped me a lot.

There's no reason to road rage because nobody wins in those situations. I try not to let bad behavior ruin my day.

    Lonesome Thanks this.
