Still holding my breath. I have never known a dispatcher to admit a mistake, let alone apologize for it.
What is up with that? They can't all be narcissists and psychopaths; is it part of some industry-standard training to never admit fault?
This subject is becoming increasingly psychologically intriguing to me.

The thing that annoys me, my dispatchers have the correct info, but what is sent via Qualcomm is often wrong or leaves something out. Fortunately at this point I've learned to work around the office of disinformation.

Dispatch got a fax from a recent load that informed them that the drop was changed. I didn't find out until I got to the original drop. Dispatch messed up and told me to write it up as an extra stop on my paperwork for extra stop pay.

I guess to get their trucks loaded for the morning when the liquor stores open.

ProTrans International in Milwaukee doesn't start until 5pm for the outbounds. If you're lucky, you'll get loaded before 11pm.

Not everywhere. You and I don't think that way!
Maybe we should infiltrate the dark world of dispatch. -
Do you start your clock when you go to work or pretend to be off-duty?

What we do is drop the trailer there ASAP, then go off duty and use PC to go down to the Love's about 7 miles away, ####, shower and shave then either come up and wait or come back around the approximate time it's supposed to be ready. Then we hook up, get the paperwork and either start rolling if we have a full 10 hour break (depending on when we dropped the trailer) or pull the trailer out from the dock, park in their drop lot and then take off in the AM. Taking off then is no big deal, the load is usually due the day after the next day around 9am. (Example: Pick up Wednesday night/due Saturday at 9am)

Ever call the shipper/receiver phone number they give you only to get some sales person's voice mail? Then, you Google the customer (for local directions or some such) only to find it's one of those companies that prefers not to have any communication with vendors or customers; then you just fly in blind and hope for the best?
Also, I wonder if I've just been unlucky; have you ever heard an apology or admission of error from a dispatcher? What do you think of my speculation that there is a standardized training which involves the pretense of dispatch infallibility?G13Tomcat Thanks this.
