oil field makes really good money.
bet a o/o could make a killing. -
yeah if you sell company fuel at truck stops. you could make 45k a year at these companies but not 75

Another reason for a lease-op subforum: I want to know what this guy knows.
Lease operators would probably get taken advantage of a lot less if they talked to other lease operators before entering into their contracts.
If you ask an ordinary O/O for advice, all they'll tell you is "don't do it." And I'm sure part of the reason is because most O/O's never were lease ops. They honestly can't give you any more advice than that. -
I own my truck. I leased my first one ended up buying my KW from MHC. I put roughly 2k back a month even though my truck is paid off. I bring home 1500.00 a week no problem and usually more.
Thats at dart. You can make that much on one of their leases if you go with one of their older trucks. One of my friends I recruited (friend not someone I met on the street) has a 2013 base line Volvo he makes 1400 to 1500 a week. His payment is 2100 a month on the truck and he has to out .07/mile back for the truck maintenance.
now granted he is a hard worker. One thing if you like to go home alot. This isn't going to happen. He stays out a month at a time and the goes home for 4 or 5 days. He then runs his first few days just to get out of the hole he's in for going home.
overall their program is decent. Better than some of the companies I have seen. Prime. With their 3200.00 a month truck note is just nuts. -
what's nuts is thinking 1500a week as an owner operator is making good money.

1500.00 net is a good honest living.
