Where do I start? Should I begin listing each and every non swift driver that acts like a jerk during my day? Should I begin posting pics every time I see a non swift driver park like an idiot? Or should I just figure that in this industry there exists a group of people who are creeps and they work for various companies and are also independents? Yes that is what I'll do.

So from a Swift driver directly to you mr 48: I hope your day becomes better. I also hope that I never meet you in person.

Lavender.....you're such a lovely person. Thank you for your post.

I agree and disagree with that.

As a person I try to be courteous and respectful to others. This is something I learned early in life and has more to do with a person's values and self respect than anything else.

On the other hand, I drive for a relatively small company and am mindful that what I do reflects on the company itself and my co-drivers more than it would with a mega fleet.

However you look at it though, I think it's more a reflection of society in general than any specific company.

    Dear TexasNana:

Didn't mean to get your garments in a ruffle. It was just odd that two drivers from the same company elected to be boneheads in such a short stretch in relatively uncommon ways. Goodness knows that working for Schneider that we get a bunch of guff too, and many times deservingly so. I've also developed a thick skin and realize that all comments about the pumpkin are not directed at me. And if they are, so what? I'll live to eat my next meal.

So, go and be well. Drive safe. Be the professional I'm sure you are.

And I'll still buy you a cup of coffee if we should ever meet.

It was a daily grind of rude drivers out there, from the 4 corners of the country, 4 wheelers, 10 wheelers,RV's, 18 wheelers and every company you could think of. They are just a blur in my mind now, except for WAL-MART they stand out for some reason, but I don't remember why.

There are many Swift drivers out there who are just as safe, and courtesy as any other, I know I used to be one of them.. To give you a example of people who do not care what others are trying to do. Well twice in the last month, when I left the yard to start my day, I had two drivers not mega carrier types but O/O types nearly run me off the road as I was trying to enter the high way.. In each case they had plenty of room, no one near them within a mile, and yet they choose not to move over, and nearly push me into a guardrail.. Now the acceleration lane at the particular on ramp is only about 10-15 feet tops.. I could go on and on and on, but you get the picture..

My garments are not in a ruffle. Trust me, if they were my post would have been much different. Besides I'm not the one to start a thread because my day was disturbed by two other drivers. :biggrin_25520:

I do however find it interesting that you posting about your horrendous experience at the hands of the evil Swift drivers was no biggie but my reply is seen in your eyes as getting my "garments in a ruffle". Sexist are you?

So you drive for Schneider......I could post about the problems I've had with Schneider drivers and in fact the one I dealt with yesterday. However I wouldn't ever wish to brand a company for one or two or even a flock of idiots.

You do as you wish however. By the way.......I don't drink coffee.

Nope, not sexist. Just a person who uses different phrases for different things. Oversensitive, are we?

I never said Swift drivers were evil. I never said my experiences were "horrendous". And the only branding I did was to identify those two particular drivers who happened to drive for the same company you do and the irony that the incidents took place within a half-day of one another (this last part was my main point).

    If I offended, I apologize.

And I'll still buy you the beverage of your choosing.
