Decided to stop running all over.

Twiss Transport and Florida Beauty Express have local box truck jobs. Two new cdl grads posted one went will Twiss and one with Florida Beauty Express.
I know Twiss website has 1 yr. exp. required, but they bend the rules for box truck.

 

They run ads for new cdl grads and even have their own cdl training program. Maybe no openings right now.
Conway may still have a linehaul division there.

 

Have to be careful with cement mixers as well. You have to put them in some odd positions. If you get them to leaning and that mixer tank is turning, it will lay over with you. I always stopped the tank if I had to back at a lean and if the truck wasnt sitting level when I got to where I was to unload, Id get it level b4 Id unload it.

 

And remember to release the rear gate latch [and move forward] before/as lifting ..


And avoid soft ground ..


And don't dump on too much of an angle ..

 

I passed on a WM type roll off job b/c it was just so #### boring. $18/HR with OT 10+\wk. no thanks.

If you do it, make sure your health insurance is stellar bc you will be dumping at landfills 4-10 times a day. And you have to get out and open the rear.

The transfer station I was shown had dead chicken everywhere. That's not a smell you want to work around.

 

I think Wooley was talking about the Rubber kind that comes off recap tires?

 

Is it really that bad that you can't stick it out at least 6 more months OTR? Just curious what specifically made you want to go local?
