hey ironpony, how is the lease program with prime? i don't really want to start with a lease but i do want to eventually sign on with one. i have a really good idea on how to keep a buisness profitable, most of my family runs their own buisness in some form. Just need to know if prime has a good lease program or not. thanx again for all the info guys

@mike....i have decided on prime, just waiting on walmart for my work history, i am very anxious to start(hoping on end of april begining of may at the latest) but as soon as i do i will be posting how thing are going.
are you planning on prime as well? -
I am happy with these guys I am here now on a medical delay due to time zone issues I should be out with trainer for flatbed on Monday as long as faxes arrive as expected. I have talked to s few lease flatbed operators and will be meeting with another lease Reefer driver this weekend as well. I think LEASE is the best option as long as you are not scared of work and running.

lycan I am still deciding i will be attending school soon so far its eather prime, wel companies, or schneider and of course werner as my last resort. dont know yet good luck let me know what happens!!
-
mike- from what i hear, werner is a company to stay away from, i don't work for them and never have so i don't know personally, but the good to bad ratio is more on bad side. prime seems like a good company that cares about the drivers, i would stick with prime, i know i am. My father in law used to drive for schneider and his words were...no, stay away from schneider....good luck out there and keep me posted as well
-
thank you I know werner is bad. prime has already aproved my application would you recommend their driving program they have to offer??
-
Those of us who have gone through it for the most part think its the best in the industry.
-
Well; when you have nothing to compare it with....
-
Oh yeah... how MANY training programs have you been through? Let's see... must be one every other week, right notarps?
Trollin' again I see... -
the only thing i have to compare it with is allstate truck driving school. i have attended a little bit of allstate but had to end due to making sure my family was properly supported. i can say allstate does get indepth with somethings like pretrip inspections and h.o.s logs and basic driving, but not to much with the driving world, only a company can give you that kind of learning experience. from what i hear from drivers on this site is Prime is the best in the industry. making an income while learning isn't the most important thing, but it helped me choose prime. Just don't forget everyones experience can be different, and the more effort you put in the more you'll get out of it. personally i would preffer to learn through a company that wants to teach you to be the best you can be while being a safe driver
