I posted what I intend to pack. There have also been some good posts following mine relating to the list. I'm planning on enough clothes for a week. If I'm out longer, I'll do laundry (that's why I've included laudry soap in my packing list). Good luck I'll keep an eye out for your posts to see how your doing.

grc56, When time permits it would be great if you could give us updates on your progress through your evo's. I know they've been posted before but different eyes sees different things with different opinions.

At schneider national we have the option of opting out but they dont really tell you about it..they hope yu dont know about it so the can automatically enroll yu into it..i opted out anyway. I was supposed to be getting .32 per mile but with per diem it was .30 per mile. Now i am back to .32 per mile.

Wife found a house to rent!!!! So I am moving 7/15 and 7/16. I pick up rental car on friday then leave for Marshfield on saturday. Time is really gonna fly by now. I am excited about finally getting started. I can say that my recruiter has been very helpful. She has only quoted facts from the web site so I don't think she is telling me any 'tall tales'. Any not on the web site she has backed up in writing (such as reimbursing me for gas/tolls and up to $35 for my motel on my way to orientation). I will be bringing my notebook with me so I hope to start a new thread journaling my experiances from orientation thru Evo III. Thanks all for the help and advice I've received thus far. I do not know much about truck mechanics so I'm sure I'll be asking for more advice later on.

When I get to Evo III and am assigned a truck, is there a list somewhere I can get as to what to double check before I sign off on it? Such as when next maintenance would be due and condition of interior/exterior. It has been suggested I get/borrow a video recorder and record the condition of the truck both inside and out. Is that really necessary? Thanks again.

You will get a pre-printed form to mark down all issues with the truck inside and out and you keep a copy. Don't worry about services you DSR keeps track of them and will get you to a terminal when they are due.

    grc56_tn Thanks this.
