Can anyone tell me how the pay or loads are for Mercer pulling a van?? I applied last week and just have to fax/email some documents to them to complete my application and after that it should be a GO. I'm sure some will say I should pull a flatbed with them and I'm not opposed to that. However, I don't have any flat exp and I honestly wanted to pull a van during the coming winter months and if I don't move well with a van then go to a flat. But I just wanted to know if anyone can give an honest insight on how the vans do over there. Thanks. :)

I pull a step, but I'm sure vans are busier than flats in the winter.
Normally flats are more per mile.
You can switch but you lose all your investment into the trailer you'll be purchasing.
Last I heard, they still let guys pull a flat with no experience just sit through the day course. But it is a different world and does not fit some guys especially guys that like to run hard.
I do it because my truck runs on solar power

    Jabows and Ukumfe Thank this.

Farm2fleet mostly runs the big midwest lanes, but they'll broker loads you find yourself, and even factor them. Fees will apply. Trailers are a cost item.

"Solar power." Nice. That's even less than CNG, right?

he asked about mercer and Landstar. I gave him my opinion about Landstar and that farm2fleet is better.
