All depends on how you look at cost.

Scales are additional cost. 10$, with a $2 reweigh. That will take a week to reimburse you too so figure, 2/3 loads a week 30$ flat maybe in scales. NOW will you scale a load thats 4k pounds? No. Will you scale a load that 37,929 pounds? Yes. Will you scale a load thats 44,176 pounds? Yes.

It's all about how much is loaded. After a while you will learn your truck and where those tandems need to be before leaving. But at the beginning add that in as a additional cost. Side note, personal rule of thumb was if it was over 35k I scaled. Anything under I knew where to place the tandems.

Parking sometimes is a additional cost. Keep that in mind.

Showers, say you are on a 34, (I tend to take showers every day while sitting), I use my points up on free showers I'd have to pay for one. $12 flat.

Truck supplies. IE, Wiper blades, oil, etc etc. Which is PROVIDED but sometimes you are in a bind and have to purchase these items. Allocate $40 flat. It is reimbursed upon receipt scan in.

There is alot of nickle and dime stuff out there. Which you will learn real quickly. Dinner every night at a TA/Petro, $9.99+tax (buffet) or 16.99$+tax for what I always got then plus tip.

Stuff adds up. Be prepared to spend a crap load of money. You will be extremely surprised at the cost of living rise while you are living on the road.

You better just ask for a case of wiper blades if you are going to use what Roehl has. Those things were garbage. They might have lasted 2 months if you were lucky. Lol!
