    1. My google-## sucks, does anyone have the link to or a copy of the tie down defect table? I'm going back to this place that has sucky tie downs tomorrow and i basically need this chart to say "nope, not doing it, either we're going to the store, or I"m going home, but this load isn't moving with me driving"

    2. While searching for this though I found this link: http://www.th.gov.bc.ca/cvse/nacs/NSC_10-Cargo Securement_Interpretation Guide.pdf and while reading thru it I got to the part on decked trailers. (page 20, sorry it's a pdf). and it has a flatbed trailer on a flatbed trailer secured with straps. Same way I've seen it done, same way I"ve done it. And yet it says "that picture would not meet the requirements". So how do you secure decked trailers?

You talking chains or straps for the first question?

I could be wrong but I thought the USA followed the FMCSA green book rules for securement. Which country are you asking about, USA or Canada?

    SAR Thanks this.

both on the first. This place i'm going is a mess (1 truck, they don't understand, they aren't a "trucking" company). it's supposed to be 1 chart. But i can't find it.

USA on the 2nd. Did I get a Canada link???? (i stayed up way too late last night watching the fights).

Could be because “any wheeled equipment more than 10k lbs needs 4 independent tie downs”? I’m not exactly sure the rule but it’s 4 chains. One on each corner? From rail to equipment and back to same rail?

I’ve always seen them the way pictured also though?

Here’s how I do stacked trailers. cross chain the ends and a couple of straps to keep them from bouncing. B4F563A8-D2E9-414E-B671-8ED1F8572116.jpeg 6D55D499-15FA-464E-BF63-1CF80F97C2BF.jpeg

If you load a 48 flat that has boxes on both sides between the spread how are you securing those? You cant X chain underneath like you have picture on that step deck...

He has the x chains on the ends, not between the spread. Boxes between the spread shouldn’t be an issue.
