I haven't flashed anyone with my brights in a long time. Instead I flick the headlights off and back on. It's just as effective as a bright flash at reminding those who may have forgotten to dim their lights.
As for 'moose' lights, if you're using them there is no excuse good enough for not turning them off before blinding me. Some of them setups are brighter than a what a train has.

I do have fog lights on my Volvo. Came from the manufacturer and I do use'em when I am on two lane rods at night and I'm driving in bushy areas. But I turn'em down as soon I see someone alse coming from opposite direction.
Fog lights doesn't bother me that much but there is another aspect that really pissed me off.
I just cant stand when I pass some truck and the driver flashes me as "come back in lane". The most rudest, annoiyng and politeless gesture ever. There is no excuse like with the fog light or so. There is pure rudeness. Rather than flashing me better do nothing. I like when someone polite and professional invite me back in lane, but i dont like at all when someone flashes me at night.
And the ones that I would really slap'em are Volvo drivers that have a button on the steering wheel for quick turning off the lights. And they still prefer to flash. OMG, those guys really deserve a kick in the ###.
With the fog lights we can argue for months, but with flashing someone at night there is no excuse to find.
Whenever u flash someone alse at night dont forget to turn off the CB. -
When i first got my jeep the headlights werent aimed correctly. Shined right into peoples rearview mirrors. It was helpful though for getting people to move over lol.

90% of the vehicles on the road seem to have IMPROPERLY adjusted HEADLIGHTS.
Then they add FOG LIGHTS and instead of being adjusted down towards the road they too are AIMED towards the windshield of oncoming vehicles. -
Those little Volvo fog lights are about as useless as boobs on a boar. Tehy're about as annoying as the pickups and cars that leave their littl;e fog lights on 24 hours a day.
-
I believe so, but at least I use the fog lights only in isolated areas, when nobody around and when wild life is abundent.
What I'm trying to say is that I am educated and curteous. -
I drive an 06 Freightliner and the headlights are crap, been in the shop 3 times already for adjustment/cleaning and not much improvement. I use the fog lights just to be able to see the road a little better.

Just as an observation: I know a guy that replaced his Volvo lights with Xenon lights. I never seen the truck coming in front of me, but I drove the truck one time few hours at night. The visibility was waaaaaaaay better than on my truck. The light is kinda white-blue and I cannot compare it with nothing I've seen until now.
I think thou that is too great to be true and I tend to believe that are good only for the one behind the lights. The ones in front of the lights I think are not very happy. -
The easiest way to fix this problem involves the use of a ball peen hammer!!

Thay stick those lights in there at the factory and have no way of setting them.
Hell, I still used $8.28 100 watt aircraft landing lights. The 150 cost about 2 buck more and give you more distance.
This is what we used for headlights:
They are unbeleivable.

No diffreence between the high and low beams. Just a change in the wiring schematics. The bulb is replaceable and can also be "boosted" for even better lighting.
