She was being given the long DOT check
-
She was enduring a DOT check when her time elapsed. She put up with this jerk for a total of 30 min. Then he handed her the ticket.
-
She was due to shut down for 30 hrs. and during the last 15 min. of driving time he was giving her a long DOT check. He said she hadn't signed out on the log yet and gigged her..
-
If she was being subjected to a DOT inspection, she was on duty not driving. She could be on duty for hours and not break any regulation, as long as she doesn't drive until she takes the necessary 10 hour break or gets her 70 hours back where they belong. The explanation in the original post is a little hard to follow.
