"KILLING TIME" is an unusual name. I guess It's better than "KILLING PEOPLE" though.

Oh yeah, I know. I was a recruiter for a small temp agency. I ran backgrounds, processed all paperwork, E-Verify and administered drug tests. It is a little tricky though. One company responded and told me the reason for no hire which makes them liable to send the information to me. If they don't they aren't following FCRA guidelines. The other companies didn't respond. The only way I know that they declined me was from the tenstreet app. But it doesn't give a reason. As long as they don't say it could be for any reason. I don't have much leg to stand on unless I don't get the paperwork in the mail in the next week or so. Just unfortunate all around really.

They gave you the time and day. Desperate or not, it is still something that you could be thankful. I would be thankful and shoot for bulk.

Get a job selling cars. Everybody's hiring and half of them don't require experience. Look on Indeed.com or craigslist.

Don't answer any ads through the websites especially craigslist because many of those ads are fake and they're just farming for contact info. to sell it to others.

If the ad doesn't have the name of the company hiring, ignore it.

If it does have the name of the co., don't trust the phone number given. Look their number up and call them. These new dealerships claim you can make $100,000/ yr. with NO experience.... and you get home every night!

The comment was in reference to suing. I'm not just not interested in pursuing this legally other than the conviction not being on my background. If anything I would like for light to be shed on the issue of FCRA laws not being followed properly by these trucking companies. But I sold cars for three years and I'm sure it's the same as recruiting in a sense. Someone fails a credit check you don't waste your time trying to find ways to get them to get financed. 1 out of 10 times you may be able to get their great aunt to cosign for them but the other 9 take up precious time finding another lead capable of buying a car. You fail a credit check in going to tell you if you can find someone to cosign come see me. My problem here is that I didn't get the benefit of the doubt that this could be wrong even when I showed proof. 4 other companies didn't even tell me why they denied me. They just moved on. I took up valuable time that they could put toward someone easy to approve. One person went out of her way. I'm proud of her. I want to work there. I've committed to doing so. I'm grateful to have been given the opportunity. Maybe more so than I would have been originally without this issue. I've thanked her a number of times and will continue to do so. Btw you couldn't pay me 4x what a trucker makes to sell cars again!!!

Borrow some money. Spend it on an attorney to sue the living bejesus out of everyone in question. You will win more money than you'll make in 2 years of trucking.
