    The fact is there are more applicants than the companies need, so they can afford to be picky. I work for JB Hunt, have been there 11 years. A couple of weeks ago I was down for repairs at our Dallas terminal. There was orientation going on at the time. Used to be, there was a road test, then everyone took turns doing a 45 degree angle back into a parking spot. Well, that backing test has been modified. They had cones set up so you snaked through an obstacle course about an eighth of a mile long, which ended with backing into a hole with very little room in front of the tractor to make corrections with. Hit a cone, hit the road, stupid. This test would be hard for anyone. And all I can say to anyone facing it, don't be afraid of looking stupid by climbing in and out of the truck 100 times to get it done, that's what they are looking for.

    I wouldn't want to be unemployed in this economy, especially since I have to pop a blood pressure pill every morning. Just about anything can count against you in this environment.

    The way they keep quitting, evidently they ain't making good hiring decisions. That's what keeps the lines long. That and the influx of new drivers.

    Also,I too pop B.P. pills,and have to carry around 2 DUI convictions(albeit)from 25 years ago..Just a matter-of-factly sayin.

    @fulgrwnmn
    Not sure if your post is directed at me, but I WAS honest and I DID forget the ticket from more than two decades ago considering I only had less than a handful of traffic since.
    Also, how much "respect" is it when they won't give me a viable reason for not being hired.
    But thanks for your input.

    The only things I see are the health issues. Rather than go through a jobs broker, why not apply directly to as many companies as you can, includiing Swift, Prime, USA, Knight....there are a lot. If your health issues have been resolved, state that clearly in your applications. However, if the question is only "Do you have..." rather than "Have you ever had..." you will not be lying if you answer the question simply "no."

    Congratulations on your weight loss. That by itself is a lot of hard work.

    You were DQ'd for your health issues.

    If you have a doubt about the misdemeanor being what DQ'd you go to HireRight and request a DAC Report. If that DQ'd you then they put it on your DAC for falsifying information on your application. If its not on their or you don't have a a DAC...its your health buddy. Sorry, and good luck out there!
