Load was 60' pipe going from OK to CO.
Plan was 2'6'' front overage, 9'6'' rear. Co said no permits needed. OK says 59'6" legal on Interstate and toll, 53 else.
Told measure of load length is from front of trailer to rear of load, disregarding front overhang.
Turned the load down because if that 6 inches and no permit. Didnt even look at CO. Do I just have a fundamental lack of understanding in this case or is my co in error?
Declined oversize today

Man,
Hard to understand. But from my understanding, a 48 foot trailer and a 9 foot 6 inch overhang = 57'6"
You were told to disregard front overhang. Oklahoma limit is 59'6" you said. You said Colorado needed no permits.
I dont see how this wouldnt have been legal, but i dont haul flat and cant really understand you. -
Was the load legal, or do I just not understand the reg?rank Thanks this.

Looking at my first post, seems I need sleep. Thoughts too broken for reading clarity. Will just call d.o.t.
rank Thanks this. -
That load needs " oversize load Signs front of truck & rear of trailer, red flags on rear corners, lights on rear if running after dark. No permit needed
