Any dedicated Alcoa drivers in the il, in, Iowa area?? Do they get you home on Fridays or saturdays?? And when do you have to go out?? Recruiter said around $1100 gross a week, is that about right? Anymore information would be appreciated.

I don't, but I will say this. First they will have you run line haul for one year without any accidents before they offer you a dedicated position. I think 1100.00 gross per week would be low take home pay. you are paid cents per mile on dedicated, not percent. You would make more money on line haul then take a pay cut. (not for me)

He told me they make 26% on this account. It can not go up due to performance. But he did offer me this position without going line haul first.

As one who ran often enough between Alcoa in Danville IL and the Nissan plant in Smyrna to try to make a dedicates run of it, here's what I'll tell you about Alcoa firstly, and aluminum in general: they don't really pay that great. If it's the guaranteed home time you're after, jump on it. But if you're looking to keep a decent income, you're better off remaining on line haul.
