Want to give it a chance. I prefer familiarity. Thought I could go OTR at a later time when I feel more confident in driving. Feel this account would give me experience with heavy weight as well. I will be contracted for three months with SNI going this route due to needing the refresher.

Only other options I had were Western Express (12 month contract), Roehl (120K mile commit contract), Swift or Werner (say no to team training).

Is there such a thing as a dedicated account or a dedicated route that is long haul? Or is most dedicated jobs more regionally specific? I'm wondering if say one can or could possibly get on a dedicated route/account that would run similar, but not exactly the same as OTR? Say like Northeast to Midwest, or West..or similar..

yes. there are//were several here in my area. try smaller places that make products. like for instance, electrical supply houses that build electrical motors or supply reels of cabling. try plumbing supply makers, for the gas and plumbing industry.

try camper shell or pick up truck accessories makers.

A lot of good info on this thread. Since you are hauling for AN-Busch, sounds like you will be moving some weight (un-loading). Not sure is that is the case with every Regional Company?

What area of the country are you working from?
I know a guy who does dry hauling regional who works outta NC. He's home every day but runs at night.

The dedicated is 100% no touch freight. The actual taking beer cans or bottles to stores is a local job with AN-Busch not with SNI.

Check Schneiderjobs and type in your zip. Maybe they have some dedicated's in your area. It's a weekly account and only three states. Mostly NW.
