Deer tend to jump right before the point of impact, so the taller your grill guard is, the less damage your front end will suffer.

The only deer I hit with my truck was in Texas. No deer guard and wouldn't have mattered. It was in the median and bolted just as I passed and slammed into my sleeper leaving a basketball sized dent.

Had one run into the side of my tankers, trailers fine, deer lost, At IWX had on also try to take my refer off at about 65 or so, also a very big mess, never had one hit the front end, but they really mess up a refer.

I had 3 of them running across the road one time, unable to get slowed down tried my best to split the gap between the 2nd and 3rd. The 3rd one ran head first right into my fuel tank fairing and i #### you not turned right back the opposite way running full speed, never lost its stride.. funniest thing i ever seen. That poor thing definatly had some type of concussion

I suggest a Magnum moose bumper. They field goal kick deer into another dimension

Only hit one in 35+ years of truck driving.
Now I did hit a herd of cats one night in North Carolina. Came back through that afternoon and counted six grease spots. :(

One of our guys hit one about 2 months ago in WY... repair shop quoted us $52,000. We did it ourselves for $32,000 and that's including a 600 mile $5,000 tow bill.

Did you replace the cab or something? Was it not covered by insurance?
