Its only going to get worse with the more homes being built in the animals habitat, and i know lots of people hate wolves and coyotes, but thats the animals that keep the population of deer and elk down, hence part of the echo system or the food chain. But what i wonder is since they keep taking up farm land to build homes, just where do people think their food is going to come from? A machine??

The great one will fix it with magical food rainbows!

We hit deer all the time in TX. But luckily they are all about the size of a Doberman. lol Not like those big mulies in CO,NM, etc. Saw a car really messed up on 70 just W of Denver a few months ago. Had hit an elk and it wasn't dead yet. Bad to watch one of those beauties suffer. Sure would have liked to put her in the freezer though.

one of my TRTs just hit an Elk in Gillette, WY and caused 16,000.00 Damage! Careful out there people....

There is only one solution to this... we must outlaw cars!! That's what some environmental nutjob group will say, you watch.

For the last 5 years i have been using deer whistles placed on my bumper and not sure if they realy work or not but knock on wood so far so good not hitting any animals..another driver i know uses them and he swears by them..any thoughts on these?
-
I have no clue on the deer whistles. I can say that every one I ever hit saw me coming. So they did not need to hear me.
The last one I hit was a few years ago in WV. Did not damage the truck any, just some spit on the grill, but man can a deer fly when you hit it with the center of a urethane bumper lol. If it had been metal it would have made a mess of it.
