Can't speak to every situation, but Housby Mack quick lube goes thru 275 gallon totes of the stuff almost daily. DEF just as "fresh" as any truck stop. But if it makes you feel better to pay $1 a gallon more at the truck stop pump, go for it.

@Cowpie1 ....Well, That's a lot of DEF I must say.
I was thinking a "car dealership" volume....my mistake -
They even have farmers come in and fill up containers (along with their pickup DEF tanks) they have for DEF requirements for they ag tractors and such. Yep, even the new farm tractors have the same goofy emissions junk on them as the diesel trucks. While I was there one day, a farmer came in and had Housby fill a 55 drum with DEF. They have fleet maintenance accounts with many concrete and construction outfits in the area. They run dozens of trucks thru the quick lube shop each day, and each of them also gets DEF tanks topped off at the same time.
