Just filled the def tank, let the truck sit for a few days, go to start it and the "scr has been altered or fault detected derate" comes on screen.
Got the hand held obd scanner out and it says the quality, level, and temperature are abnormal update rates, or something like that. No high or low voltages, so hoping it is isolated to the sensor, not the pump or other hardware.
JGP had one on the shelf. I asked service how long to replace it, they said with all the pretty skirting hanging on my sleeper, it would take extra time as it is already a long procedure with the plain sleeper over the tank.
I'm no mechanic, but can bluff my way through simple things like direct replacements etc.
I happen to ride motorcycles, and have a harbor freight motorcycle jack that has a nice large, flat lifting rail system. The bottom of my tank is flat, so seemed like a nice setup to try.
IT WORKED AWESOME !!
So here are a few pics of dropping the tank after removing the straps from the support rails. Also, the only connection I had to remove was that of the new sensor. No coolant lines or def lines were disconnected. No mess, and about a 3-4 hour job.
DEF level/quality sensor replace on 2021 Pete O/OP w/sleeper. (w/pics)

Best way to avoid issues is fill every time you fuel and once it clicks stop filling . Squeezing more in cause’s poor quality light often
