I would guess that you have three hours to get to a good shop.
In all honesty there’s no way for me to know if it was a glitch or something.
It’s been more than 4 hours… did you make it? -
If you run out. Or if somehow it quits pumping def into the filters. You will burn your truck down.
-
Yeah it’s been more than 4 hrs of driving, truck is running fine . I sure hope it was just a glitch

Def tank is full , I just had filled up 60 miles before the def light went on then just went away , also I got message saying derate in 4 hrs but also went away
-
Sounds like a bad electrical connection on the float.
OldeSkool Thanks this. -
Had a similar issue on a volvo . Light would come on and off, than came on and stayed on solid after a few days. Turned out my harness going to emission ecu rubbed through on frame rail, luckily I was able to fix it on the road. Check the codes and google them. You don’t want to be stranded in the middle of no where.Friedchicken667 and OldeSkool Thank this.

Did the message say what you were supposed to sedate with?
-
A couple Long Island Ice Tea’s, worked good for me.

No it won't.
DEF doesn't get pumped into the filters. It gets sprayed into the exhaust just before it leaves the one box. A failed DEF delivery system does no harm at all. That's why the regulators make truck manufacturers derate the truck when DEF problems occur. They know no one will pay to fix it otherwise.
