They don't handle vibrations well. Out of balance tires, alignment, leveling valve issues, wreak havoc on anything that dangles.
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
So if anyone is interested on what happened. Picked the truck up from the dealer (took them to long to even start, they did diagnostics and charged me $450).
Got the truck to my mechanics and they changed ...
Def pump
Def pump harness
In & out NOx sensor
And the ACM (the computer located on the def tank)
After that everything seems to work...
Total damage to my wallet : $3800 + 450 from the dealer ... $4,250 (for that amount also had a couple little things also done changed the alternator and tensioner ... couple air leaks fixed)BennysPennys, uncleal13, KB3MMX and 1 other person Thank this. -
BennysPennys, KB3MMX and YuriyN Thank this.

That's not a bad bill really for all the work and parts, nice!

What fault code are you getting. And I have seen a recent video of a def pump on a Volvo where it cracked internally due to the cold causing the def to leak at the connector.
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
Cant tell you right now cause the codes I had I wrote them down on paper and the paper is in the truck. Will let you know tomorrow if your interested.

5394 is the code, it's generic and covers a lot of things with aftertreatment. The DEF pump is made of plastic cuz apparently the def is caustic to a metal pump, so consequently you have plastic and a liquid that freezes. Not a good match.
