The filter replacement interval can differ per manufacturer. I dont see them replaced very often (as most large fleets have special warranty agreements) but they are cleaned and backed about every 200,000 miles on average. The system, in my experience, doesnt get flushed simply because you constantly have fresh DEF running through the system.

Oh I was referring to def filter and dosing unit. Thinking it must crystallize slowly at the point it injects it into the scr pipe.
My dpf isn't giving me any trouble in about 278000 miles so far (449000km). Occasionally catch it doing regen if I slow down, but that is rare. Never asked for a parked regen yet. Fuel economy not suffering, engine runs good doesn't eat but maybe .5 gallons of oil in 18000 mile changes. Stays gold for first half of that easy.
I have half a mind to pressure wash the dpf can in my driveway. Like in this video.

I have 3 Macks that use DEF, i call them the 50 into 1500 trucks. Because all 3 are pretty consistent in how much they use, and basically its 50 liters of DEF per 1500 liters of diesel.
