Had plenty of 6-7000 mile weeks when cows were busy. In the spring it was 2 rounds a week out of Cali. Late summer was 2 rounds a week out of Florida. Fall was 2 rounds a week out of Montana.
Rubber duck kw, Midwest Trucker, Coffey and 5 others Thank this. -
Running hard when I was OTR was running the 11 hr or 14hr clock down to less than 15 mins, take a maximum of 10.5 hour break, repeat until my 70 hr clock was gone. Then do a 34 to 40 hour reset and start over again. Doing this I was turning 12.5k to 14.5k miles every month.
As said before, this requires keeping the left door shut. In my opinion, this also requires a very good dispatcher that knows how to schedule loads that can keep you moving with very little waiting for reloads or appointments, and works with facilities that dont take more than 2 to 3 hours to get a truck in and back out on the road.Hammer166, Crude Truckin', Bean Jr. and 3 others Thank this. -

Running hard? I created my profile here like 8 years ago, with the same ambition. I ran hard otr, dedicated, and lastly foodservice. I have destroyed my mental health, and now I am doing everything I can to heal it. So, in the end "Running hard" aka maxing out your clock, 30 in the fuel isle, barreling through the highway tailgating everybody, is for dumasses.
Badmon, Bean Jr., D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
Running hard?
Ten years of back to back west coast turn arounds living off pills, toothpicks, roller dogs and coffee. Sleeping one hour a week sitting in the drivers seat. And beating the crap out of anyone who got in my way.....lol -

See for some we don’t mind helping a guy out however we don’t do it for regular price and #### sure won’t for less. You wanna see the show......put your money on the table son. Makes no sense to work harder for less......any tard with one eye and half sense can see that. Course when a guy is incompetent and cannot fathom the concept then ya he thinks hard means cheapBadmon, Rubber duck kw, Hammer166 and 11 others Thank this.
