Delayed start but we are ready now

    One thing to consider is that the paid training basically covers the money you'd owe if you leave before 9 months. I'm not sure but the 9 months starts when you start training instead of when you start driving. My training started in June & I got my 6 month raise & days off at the beginning of January.

    The only reason we went with Schneider is because we would train together. If you go with them they generally split couples during "school" driving. We trained at Indy & only had 1 week with a trainer (we did hauled car parts in Ohio) and most of our class did the same. We did have 1 guy who did OTR & had to sleep in the truck. I watched a video of a guy who did OTR with his trainer & another student (a woman) and the students stayed in hotels. I think it is up to the trainer who stays in the hotel when 2 people are being trained.
