Then put a program in for your engine in some other truck. Things related to transmission, fan, cruise and other things may not work properly.

Everyone wants a hotrod. If the truck is running good leave it alone. If ain't broke don't fix it. People tune their trucks then have problems afterwards. Don't know why everyone needs all this power???? I guess their lacking some place elsewhere.

    A couple thoughts ...

I am very surprise the dealer is even touching the truck, as explained to me by a few shop managers at dealerships that they won't touch a delete truck and if the owner wants it a dealer to work on the truck, they reverse the delete.

The other thing is OP invest in a exhaust temp gauge for both pre and post turbo.

It is not often physically obvious that a truck is deleted. The owner in some cases does not know or for obvious reasons is not forthcoming with the information that the truck is modified. Once the software is updated is when all the surprises begin for both parties. All the lights come on and the real truth comes out.

I too am surprised that engine work was performed at a dealer on a deleted truck. Wouldn't happen on my watch.

Could be too many ponies. Could be poor workmanship too. When it comes to doing head gaskets and heads, measurements like block/head flatness are critical. As is liner protrusion and proper head bolt torque sequence/pattern.

@splittero1 how many miles did you put on the truck before you had to replace the head?
