    Rotflmao it wouldn't make me any happier honestly. No I think it's like Timothy grass or something. Huge freaking bales...8'×4' 48k lb....before the rain lol....
    And now the truck smells like chicken and onions and fabuloso lavender.... ah such a nice day :)

    IF you want a snootful try a load of Alfalfa.

    In my day on the farm each adult horse got two flakes of tim and one of alfalfa as a treat to them each morning along with a bucket of fresh water.

    I found out why the hay was trucked...The equally delightful Amish farmer (who was able to speak to me!! Yaay--not like the Schwartzenrubers up my way who would have had to bring a woman out from the house to run interference...)
    Anyway Farmer David said for what he paid it was still a great deal- the quality of the northeast hay is inferior, he said because of the rain vs irrigation!

    He's working too hard too long in the sun, Brother Farmer that is.

    Weve always collected our hay both ways from local valleys when the barns are full round about in my time. The horsies came running always and filled out nicely over time.
