The only time I tried lucas in the oil of my truck's engine it killed my mileage so bad that I dropped the oil early just to get rid of it.

Dunno what I was doing wrong, but it sure was a waste of money to use it.

Just call them direct at (800) 325-9962

Good people, & will have specials time to time with various quantity orders. But all the reps seemed to be technically trained to know their product vs. others, so they can answer questions you may have. Their motor oil, gear oil & grease are all excellent!

Oh & they do not bother you with sales calls, I just a call once a year to order more.

Good point, and congrats on the healthy lifestyle; seldom seen in "our world" (I'm writing this at 0930, while drinking my first Diet Coke of a 4/day habit). If putting Lucas in my engine at oil change would help me kick my bad eating / drinking habits, I could prolly afford 10 gal Lucas and 1 gal Delvac every 10k, instead of vice versa. Problem with that is my C15 would undoubtedly inherit my high cholesterol.

I have never heard that before. did not think adding anything to oil would/could do anything to m.p.g. I will try 1 oil change without lucas to see what happens. I have always seen an improvement on m.p.g with the lucas fuel inj cleaner though. always something to learn.

I am still doing testing, I used delvac for years cause it was the least expensive. the last 2 oil change's I used rotella. I think the truck use's less oil with the rotella. it is hard for me to say, I think it can depend on how I drive. some weeks I get bookoo's of loads, but have to run b@lls to the w@ll's to get it done,(local 140 mi runs) and will run 72 m.p.h. other day's or week's if I am in no hurry, I set the cruise at 62 or so & save big on m.p.g. when I'm pedal to the metal & watching the smoke roll out the stack's , I cant help but think I am using more oil.

What about transmission fluid in diesel fuel for an additive? I use it when the truck runs a lil rough from bad fuel, and it works. This is in a 3406E 435, and use it alot in my old cummins BC1 . What about MARVELS MYSTERY OIL ?

one problem with the atf & marvels is that they are both red. if you add these & get checked for offroad fuel in your tanks you could be in for a hefty fine. i have been told you did not want to put the atf in a truck with electronic injectors, that it would mess them up.
