24m here. I have all my endorsements and can't find a job. I've tried all the mega carriers and pretty much all of them said no. Last year in july, I accidentally rear ended a car in my personal car. No injuries, and I got the ticket reduced to 1 point, but that pretty much closed off all mega jobs. That's the only thing on my mvr. Here's a list of the ones that said no:

Swift: Deemed "not eligible for rehire". I worked there for a few months in 2023 and didn't like the trainer, so I quit.

    Schneider: Denied

Us Xpress: Need 6 months of experience

    Melton: Denied

    TMC: Denied

Cr England: No positions in my area (michigan)

    CRST: Denied

Werner: Wants me to wait until at least a year after the accident, which will be in July. Maybe I'll try again with them in a few months

    Stevens transport: Same as werner

Roehl: Said they can't hire me as I'm not a student, and I need at least a year of experience.

    Maverick: Denied

Cypress Truck Lines: Ghosted, then denied

Veriha Trucking: Denied after leading me on for weeks

    May trucking: Ghosted

    Heartland Express: Denied

Gypsum Express: Don't remember, it was months ago. I think I was denied

Prime Inc: Need 6 months of otr experience they said

Covenant Transport: I'm not doing teams

    Hogan Transport: Ghosted

Western Express: Only flatbed positions in my area. I declined.

Knight Transport: Back in 2023 I went to orientation, but was declined even though back then my mvr was clean

Pepsico: No cdl jobs in my area

    Sysco: applied several times, ghosted

Hitting from the rear will disqualify you from all but the worst companies. You can apply at a less than steller firm, change careers but keep cdl active by staying current on dot physical and try again in a year or so if you like, or try us army 88M program. After four years of army service and a few letters of recommendation you may get a chance a tmc or others.

Yes. Only the accident stood out as a negative. Everything else was my employment history (good), drug test results (no positives), and any dot infractions (none).

Just being honest. Hitting from rear is a big hit. My insurance company would not accept you. -They are a good company and are a lil more stringent than a budget insurance company. When a victim gets hit from the rear by a semi it’s almost always a lawsuit with a payout. Folks work hard to build a business and don’t want to loose it. Yes, you have a terrible record. -by type of accident as a commercial driver. You can move on from this just be patient.

You're 24 which is barely hireable as it is. Throw in your accident and I'm surprised even Western Express would have you. My advice is to start watching Youtube videos on how to tarp and take what you can get.

Looks like you *might* have a shot with Werner and Stevens in July when the accident is 1 year old. I'd suggest if either gives you a chance just keep your mouth shut, grit it and bear it through the training part and then for another year or two. Or more, who knows maybe they turn out ok for longer term.
