Just being straight up with you, they call a rear end collision where you’re at fault “the kiss of death“ in this industry. It’s on par with basically getting a DUI. You’re gonna need to sit out on the sideline for a couple years. Let it fall off your record. It’s not that the companies might not think you interview well, it’s about their insurance carriers. They literally cannot hire you.

I would do gig work for a year then reapply if I were you. Keep your CDL and medical current.

If Western Express will hire you, I would take it. Even if you don't like flatbedding, it will be good experience. Also, maybe they will let you transfer to van later on.

Perhaps just as big a mistake....

You had a decent starter gig with Swift...but left that job (too soon)...becuz you didn't like your trainer.

Later on, if faced with the same basic problem -- ASK FOR ANOTHER TRAINER.

If your trainer isn't really teaching you the fundamentals, etc....it's OK to ask for another instructor.

He did say that. The insurance companies don’t care of the difference. If you can rear end someone from a car you can in a truck…Same as dui, speeding,

July is just weeks away. Hang out for a bit, then, reapply at Stevens and Werner.

They likely are considering this also.....

    How bad is my mvr?

All the megas see you quit before you even made it through training. Cost them a bit & tend to blacklist after that. Others do not want to get burned too.

Spotty job history & job hopping.

    Rear end accident. Tickets.

You have quite a POV history for only 24yrs old.

Going to take time & demonstration of stability/maturity before you get much interest from anything but the bottom. Especially in this horrendous market.

Where I live in DFW you can get a CDL-A job on Craigslist still. None of them pay what you probably want but it could help you get real life experience and a work history. I actually got a local job at Pallet Logistics and hated it so much I went back to OTR. I definitely don't recommend that company.

Pallet outfits tend to have pretty ragged out equipment too.
