Here it is a nutshell. Based ONLY on the information provided. And current medical facts with regard to drugs.
A 30 day refill for most people is normal.
However, getting home for a refill is not the "norm".
This would only be required in special cases. OR if the drug involved is listed as a narcotic.
You can not transfer narcotics between pharmacies.
So you can't simply drive to any local Wal Mart and have them pull it up and refill it.
Many changes in the drug field as of late.
DESPERATE!!!

Well ,it is a schedule 2 medication and you will go through with withdrawals if you decide to just stop.schedule 1 is the narcotic that is not accepted by dot or anybody.morphine and antihistamines are schedule 1.oxycotin,percoset etc are schedule 2.

Pat, I can only suggest pounding a lot of pavement locally. Try to find something local.
OTR is pretty much out of the question. Unless you can get on with a company that offers flexible schedules. Such as Roehl or Schneider. And maybe a few others.
No OTR company can guarantee you home by a certain date. And if they do, they're lying.
With all the highway construction going on. It wouldn't hurt to look into that area.pat246 Thanks this. -

I have a question for everyone.is there some kind of manager that if agreed can set you up in my situation and get you home once possibly on one of their routes to pick up your meds at fed ex?i was told by recruiter that they would do this for me after talking to one of the dispatchers.i know the recruiter's word means nothing ,but i thought if i got to talk to a manager and he agreed i might have some security.you never know unless you try.but it would have to be a manager that is directly in charge .in other words what manager title would this be ?

I suggest you loose the attitude and start getting educted. You brought up the medication, we didn't. You may have done a lot of investigation but it was in the wrong place. Here's the facts. Schedule 1 drugs are drugs that have no medical use. They are outlawed in every state. Schedule 2 drugs are those that have a high abuse rate. In that schedule you'll find MS Contin or time released morphine. Now "Hot Shot" I challenge you to find any company that will hire you as a truck driver while you're on morphine. So maybe you should stop yelling at the group and take a few notes because you are about to loose your house with your attitude. All the correct information has been listed here on the group and where to find it but by this time I'm sorry you're not worth the time until I see some change.Gizmo_Man Thanks this. -
If your talking OTR with Fed Ex. Chances are you'll be driving for an owner op that has trucks leased on with them.
Then, you're at the mercy of 2 monkeys fighting over a banana. -
