    awesome! im pretty much sold on them. Hope I can get a good teammate on their matching thing. Seems like a great place to start! got my cdl test on Friday so ill be filling out the application that night!

    I have to warn you, USX is a good company but we have some idiot trainers. If you're not happy then don't be afraid to ask for a new one. Things get soooooo much better after training.

    I'm in Conway South Carolina near myrtle beach.

    And the training doesn't seem that long like 3-5 weeks I hear I can handle that.

    If you ask for a new trainer does the trainer you have know you asked before actually getting there? Seems like an awkward ride back to a dc hahah

    Figured as much. I wish I could do that with my instructor at the school I'm at now. 1 month isn't much to deal with. 175 hours right?

    what can you expect from the road test and physical at orientation??

    I know some of the flatbedding companies would make you do some sort of weight lifting to show you can handle the tarps anything like this?

    and what is the road test like? I only learned offset backing and parallel parking in cdl school do you have to do any alley docking on it?

    Tunnel Hill is our main terminal.

    Typically they make you lift 70lbs but 40lbs is only necessary if you plan on doing OTR. The 70lbs is for those doing Dollar General, etc.

    Gotta get a new physical done with their doctor. You'll get a Sleep Apnea form. Put down no for everything or the doctor might send you for a sleep study.

    The road test is very simple. Student drivers they take it easy on. You pass as long as you don't hit or kill anyone. Since students go with trainers do they aren't tough on them.

    Be the first for everything so you'll get it all over with. First day consists of waiting around a lot.
