Our grace period depends on the weight we are delivering ranging from 15 Minutes for up to 2,500 Lbs to 2 Hours if its 30,000 Lbs or more. After that they are charged by the 1/2 hour $55.00 to $78.00 depending if weekday , Sat or Sunday.

If the trailer has to stay its $160.00 day for flat or dryvan , lot more for reefer

DT after 2 hrs is mostly standard, it's low in many companies now a days.. But some carriers pay well for either layover n detention, especially if you're an owner/ operator!!!!
There's good and terrible companies, pays to look well in the time you have allotted, unless you need to get out there fast, then expect average pays on layover and detention...
    Peace and Blessings brothers!!!
Hold it in the road and watch for those 4 wheelers, ya know they're still trying to get paid off ya!!!!

I don't get it. After two hours if they are not pushing boxes out we leave. We do get layover. If we dont move for 24 hours we get $150. That usually happens once every 3 weeks. Sometimes we get 48 hours. Occasionally they will push us to leave early--feels like its done to avoid paying that out. But don't know for sure. Hear a lot of drivers are late and that's why, they stop a lot. We don't, but we still have to leave like 5 hours before we need to. Lol
