Detention pay?

    The detention pay is for detaining the company's truck and keeping it from generating revenue. The drivers get a flat rate from the company, that should be agreed upon at the time of hire, for being detained and keeping him/her from generating income.

    It ain't right but it is what it is.

    hello

    i work for swift and they pay me for 43h detention only $100 , do i sue them or not , how much swift have to pay per hour ? Thanks

    One thing you omitted. The customer has two hours AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME to get you unloaded. If your appointment time is 0900 and you get there and even get a door at 0730 and they get done with you at 1100, you're not getting $%#. Only if you have an open window for delivery/pick up do you get on detention when you arrive.
