UPDATE: I just got these shtty messages on my Qualcomm saying "please set log to on duty when with customer". And "read paid-by-mileage worker agreement policy".

I have a feeling I'm not going get paid anything for the wait. Any swift people want to chyme in? I don't want to call driver manager because I'm desperately trying not to get into trouble.

    Btw was early. Not late

Steve says he gets paid $30 an hour after the first 2 hours, he can be off duty, in sleeper etc for that time. He says you have to reply to the first but can skip the others esp if you need to sleep i.e. you can't sleep and reply every hour. It should stop when you do your unloaded call. But arriving early they count detention from the appointment time not from when you arrive. You can even get detention pay for drop and hooks. Some customers on dedicated accounts have no detention pay policies. Read the fine print when accepting these sucks to be you loads if possible.

That first message probably came after you just left a shipper or receiver, without at least 5 minutes of on-duty time before your status changed to the drive line.

And face it, you can't go from off or sleeper to drive when at a shipper or receiver.
You have work to do, like going in for something or shutting the doors and getting out of the place - and those things need to be logged as on-duty.
Since the QC won't record anything less than 5 minutes when changing status, you need to make sure you have at least 5 minutes of on-duty time before it goes to the drive line. Otherwise it will record all that time as driving - which can not be edited, by the way.
If that is the case you will have to edit your off-duty time to show at least 5 minutes of on-duty time before the driving time kicks in.

With the new updates it applies to your 30 minute break as well.
Once the wheels turn, you are on the drive line.
So if you pull out slowly at 29 minutes, hoping to save a minute, it will be counted as drive time.
You will have to do the 30 all over again.

Yea, haven't been paid anything for the detention as I'm looking at my pay on my website. I will update if I do receive pay for the wait. Assume I didn't get anything if I don't update.

Before you scan the BOL you need to write your arrival , appointment and loaded/empty time . If you already scanned the trip write down the detention info and rescan it . Detention will usually show up a few days later than the base pay on your settlement .
