What a surprise. What was the agent?
Had the same thing happen to me. Had to layover at the Canadian border because the customer never paid the taxes on the machine. He was in a fight with the customs broker over the matter. I got paid in the end but LS put me on their do not load list. Good riddance. Agent was LRGR - ISO -

Recently, got $586 for sitting at Kellogg's in Battle Creek waiting to unload. Sat there for 15 hrs, first two free. Got $836 a week later for sitting about 22 hrs at a receiver that rejected the load and it took the shipper that long to decide to bring it back. Goofy one there. Receiver was not going to budge, not sure why it took so long for shipper to finally decide to bring the load back. Oh well, it cost them plenty to procrastinate. Paid for both ways and detention for the delay. Both situations, not all that bad.. take a full break and get paid to do it.
