The second half of that bridge won't be done until 2017.

It will now be interesting to see how many of the cross-Canada truck drivers are eligible to cross the border into the USA. Unless the Nipigon River Bridge upheaval was simply a failure to do the seasonal cable adjustment it could be out of commission for a while.

Yes, that's what I was thinking. I wonder how many Canada only drivers thought they'd need their passports just to get to Manitoba from Toronto. Not to mention In-Transit forms.
I always thought they should have punched the highway through from Long Lac over to Dryden above Lake Nipigon.Macneil Thanks this. -
There will also be issues with weights and dimensions for some Canadian trucks that are now stranded on the highway that wish to turn around and detour through the USA.
