Oh ok
I was wondering because my programmed stock turbo runs out a max of about 1180 to 1200 degrees in a hard pull but my pyro is plumbed pre turbo.
I’m thinking post turbo would read at least a couple hundred cooler.jamespmack Thanks this. -
Yes probley more like 300 degrees cooler. Generally 1300 is fine pre turbo so your more then fine
jamespmack, spsauerland and Hulld Thank this. -
Thanks for the info.
Is there any advantage to move the probe to post turbo?
Or is it just preference?
It seems most I have seen are post turbo.jamespmack Thanks this. -
I have a pyro. Ordered boost guage. How would I hook up a fuel pressure guage? Any threads or DIY thanksjamespmack Thanks this.
-
Honestly I've never seen anyone with pre turbo. They say the pyro reacts faster in the manifold vs in the down pipe.
I've been truckin for 30 years and always put them in the down pipe. I guess as long as you have one is all that matters.Oxbow, jamespmack, Hulld and 2 others Thank this. -
The bigger a/r 1.45 is it better then 1.32? Does that mean more flow?jamespmack Thanks this.
-
It all depends on your hp level. The 1.32 is good for 600 hp in my opinion . Anything over that and you will over speed your turbo and have high exhaust back pressure. The 1.45 will breath better at higher hp and not drive the turbo so hard. Trade offs to everything tho. I lost 5 psi on the Jake's with the bigger housing.Brettj3876, jamespmack and Guf Thank this.

If the probe breaks off pre turbo it will destroy the turbo.jamespmack and Hulld Thank this.

There is a port on the fuel filter mount by the fuel pump, remove cap and attach line.
Picture later if I rememberjamespmack Thanks this.
