the only update i have is they said the check engine light was for soot level high and they tried to regen the truck and it kicked out and a code came out which was doser fuel supply abnormal, this is why they needed to charge me 2 hour extra labor for diagnosis.
when i dropped of the truck i told the mechanic that his going to see 2 codes which was
1. soot level high
2. dozer fuel supply abnormal.
and i also told him what was just replace on the truck. He told me it is probably a software issue and not a big thing.
at this point they dont know whats wrong with it.

Good luck with the call, and solution hopefully. -

I've been sick so I could get back.
Have them follow this and get back. -
The problem could be in the doser block, which has a little air valve in it and not the doser itself. This test I osted is what we use to diagnose the issue. They can use DDDL 7.11 or DDDL 8. I have DDDR since I do programming and engineering, but most shops use DDDL.

Shaggy76 thank you for getting back to me and hope you get better soon.
her is a update from the dealer as its written on the invoice:
Chk/adv unit has a check engine light on and unit has the regen light flashing
Went out in yard and pulled unit up to shop, hooked up computer and checked for fault codes found 3791/16 present high soot level. Per diagnostic print out unit needed to go into regen undisturbed. Pulled unit out back away from shop and performed regen on unit. Found unit failed regen, check and inspected log file found unit was not dosing during regen and new fault code became present 3480/1 Low doser fuel line pressure.Followed trouble shooting inspected for other present codes found none related in trouble shooting. Visually inspected and checked for leaks at HC Doser block found none currently present. Started unit and performed PURG HYDROCABON Doser, had to perform twice before any data becomes available. Found pressures leading to possible leak in system.
Perform a park Regen and monitor. dosing pressure is high need to replace doser injector. Coolant temp is not reaching its target when performing regen. Need to repair those items and perform another park regen to verify repairs.
Drained and replaced thermostats and refilled coolant and topped off, pull unit into regen and RPMS where intermite and found ITV not operating properly, replaced ITV and reran regen, unit failed regen and code came on for doser supply pressure abnormal 3480/1. Removed sensor from fuel pump and connect mechanical gauge, start engine and pressure is ok, connect sensor back... disconnect pin 120 from MCM and inspect harness side and MCM for oil... engine oil and passing it to engine harness.. p/a is been made to customer.
Today i get a call from them and they are telling me that they need to replace 3 wire harnesses which is going to be $3200.Because what ever we change didn't fix the problem.
I told them instead of changing the wire harnesses to follow the doser block troubleshooting you sent me and get back,He replies you dont need to tell us how to troubleshoot our tech's are trained and know what they are doing. i just look at my maintaince records and it say replace wiring harness-electronic engine control about 7k miles ago.
After refusing to fallow the doser block trouble shooting and them changing good part with new ones i think i had enough of them and going to pick up the truck tonight .Last edited: May 29, 2015

I don't know if this will help but i took this at the shop while performing a regen just before taking it to the dealer

Shaggy76 thank you for posted instruction.
Shame on los angeles freightliner and other shops where this truck was. its so easy to follow basic troubleshooting steps written in manuals. why they don't do it. idiots from los angeles freightliner had changed turbo actuator, thermostats and few other parts on engine not related to this issue..((( also they suggested to change the engine harness and the mcm )))
Shaggy76 do you work at official Detroit dealer or at freightliner ?Last edited: Aug 9, 2015
