Looking at a truck online 1998 international ad says detroit dd11. Is that an 11.1 60 series? When I Google dd11 I get a volvo engine. Treat me like the idiot I am thanks.

Yes that’s an 11.1L series 60.
Rideandrepair and singlescrewshaker Thank this. -
The DD series didn't exist until about 2008ish.
That engine is likely a Series 60 with an 11.1L displacement. The Series 60 came in 11.1L, 12.7L and 14L.Rideandrepair and singlescrewshaker Thank this. -
The DD series are 5,8,13,15 & 16.
Rideandrepair and singlescrewshaker Thank this. -
If she's the "hammer" of the 11.1's could be a 365hp/400hp "cruise power".
Yet to see a straight 400hp 11.1L..
Either way them things are fuel efficient & reliable as they come. I miss my DDEC II 11.1 almost daily..Rideandrepair and Constant Learner Thank this. -
1 think 97 was the last year for the 11.1. (98 Truck). Put mostly in Fleet Trucks and large buses. I drove one for 6 mos. In a 93 International cab over. It was set at 350 hp, 62 mph and 1800 rpm. Excellent mpgs. I once idled it for 3 days in sub zero temps. Still got over 7 mpg’s. Couldn’t believe it.
singlescrewshaker Thanks this. -
Mine was a 09/92 built 320/350 cruise power in a '93 FLD 120. Tall 22.5, .73OD 9speed, 4.10 rear, 1800 @73mph. Darn fine bus engine!! Lol -
I just found out that my truck purchased close to a year ago doesn't have a 12.7. It's really an 11.1 block with a 12.7 valve cover.
Does anyone have any recommendations on manufacturers for Injectors, Manifold & Turbo to match with my engine? Block # is 06R0117298 (11.1 L).
I want it to be the best 11.1 for many many miles to come.
I want it to pull good. No blowby & good fuel mileage.
I was originally going for 500 HP or so from what I thought was 430/475 in the 12.7.
But now, I know what I really have. An 11.1
