I have a fault code when dianostic switch is pressed, it comes up with 3 red flashes, followed by 3 yellow flashes. from what i understand this would be fault code 33, which in book says it's a turbo sensor problem, but workshop tells me this is a no faults code, can someone tell me which is true?

Kinda, when you initiate the flash code sequence the red lights indicate an active code, and yellow indicates an inactive code. In your case, you should have gotten one code from the red and one from the yellow. Watch it again and see if there is any pauses in between any of the red and yellow flashes, you should have gotten two different codes there, not one. There is a 1/2 second pause in between code digits, it is easy to miss.

Got the same engine, and book is always close at hand. Red flashes the active codes, yellow is inactive. Code 25 is the no codes flash.

Let me know I'll gladly look codes up.
