I’m curious what driveline components were subject to tariffs. What extra manufacturing they’re adding. Running 3 shifts is a good thing. There’s a lot of that already in automotive. Also a lot of 2-10 hr shifts running. Lot of shake ups going on. Jeep in Toledo is bringing a model from Canada, going to integrate it into the existing line, and Dodge Truck is adding a line, I think it’s the Dakota. Makes for more freight. Steady runs. Everything is dedicated round trip, mostly lightweight. Almost everyone’s home on weekends. I do different runs, some local, some 300-800 mile trips, never turn down work. Stay very busy.

Sounds more like demand has increased rather than a result from tariffs…It’s a cylindrical business as it shows in the thousands that they laid off over the past few years.. Hiring back “dozens” lol would you like a translation?

Besides, had this been actually a result from tariffs then Mexico would be taking a hit…right?

Lastly, it warms my heart to see anti union “folk” cheering for the UAW

They added a third shift to assemble Mexican made parts..the tariff tax will be added to the purchase price :)

The real question should be..what are they manufacturing now that they didn’t (imported) before? Oh and how much more will it cost to buy “Merican” hahaha

Since Detroit engines and axles are only available in Frieghtliner products it just looks like FL has had some big orders recently.

Regardless. Fact is they’re adding work. Always a good thing. This area depends on good jobs.

That’s probably the reason. Still it’s a good sign. Need more growth.
