Complete newb here. Was wondering if anyone knew of any companies that run this route regularly; or if it's even a route worth pursuing.

Thanks in advance for your time.

In almost 9 years I have had 2 loads going to Colorado Springs, to a Costco.
    And it wasn't from DFW.

Why from Dallas to the Springs?

Honestly? It's an area I really enjoy, the drive is a good one, and I'm just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on it.

I have an idea most freight there is out of ABQ or KC. Anything direct would be pretty narrow/specialized.

Anyone do anything DFW - Albequerque or Santa Fe?

I appreciate the thought and time, folks.

    Best.

You'll have a much easier time finding running from DFW to Chicago and back. Much easier.

I've been searching day and night for a route in the springs I'm moving there soon and honestly your best option is to look into the Denver or aurora area, so far the best I've come upon is us Express dedicated listed in the springs but they havent called me yet so no answers to any questions about them they could suck

    That's a great point. Thanks.

However, I don't want to retire in that progressive paradise and, it's not a place I'd like to take my family during the Summer.

I know I'm reaching but, thought it might be worth fishing a little bit in this great knowledge base here.

We run freight to Denver and haul out of Co Springs. The rate out is crap as we haul brick/stone/cement product. The rate up is good, but going out is not. We're w direct carrier for that freight as well, no broker in the middle.

I appreciate the input. Do you haul the same stuff out?

What's the drive like out of, I'm assuming, SA?

    Best.

Most of our Denver freight is out of the Dallaa area. That rate is good. Its also a dedicated customer of ours.

Btw, its all flatbed. I dont know about dry van or reefer. I could see where reefer rates going up there could be really good though, can amyone confirm?

The old 287 is a historical road between say Denver and Dallas Fort Worth. It's a thousand miles give or take 24 hours one way. It's one of my favorite drives among others. It's rather quiet and you will get there when you get there. The freight (Food, meats, beer etc) takes care of itself.
