There is a waiver you can apply for. I believe you have to prove that your in control of your diabetes for a prolonged period to qualify, and your doctor needs to certify it. Here is the link for info on it; http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/documents/safetyprograms/Diabetes/diabetes-exemption-package0706.pdf
Hope this helps. -
Your physical is valid here. Canada and the US have a treaty that forces that recognition of your physical under Canadian regulations. This means that if you can drive a truck there, you can enter and drive here.
You can't apply for a wavier here because you are not operating under US regulations. -
sorry waver holders cant cross over after 1/29/1999

Ok now you guys are confusing me
So can you drive over the border with diabetes or not? Do you have to apply for a waiver or not? Thanks again

wavers the usa ones good only in side USA no crossing over begin 1999.
-
Ok so can you cross over with no problems ?
Kevin -
if canada lets you drive, you cant cross into USA, if USA lets you get waver to drive you cant cross into canada, thats what both ruled in 1999.

the insulin use is what will stop you from crossing over,if they will let you drive in canada no prob.
