And by the way Pit Bull, Never make assumptions about a person . . . I don't have a poor diet, don't pop pills and rarely go to the doctor unless I absolutely have to. Those kinds of assumptions are a clear sign of one who does not know what they are talking about.

my google says average lifespan of a male in the year 1912 was 48.4 years and he was an inch shorter.
i toured a house built 300 years ago and the ceiling was very low.
do you think any one wants to read two thousand words about grandpappy?Lilbit Thanks this. -
The reason the ceilings were low in the 300 year old house was that they wanted to keep the heat from going up where it would not do anyone any good. Only the well to do had high ceilings back then. Wing back chairs were designed to keep body heat in as well. Ditto the reason for the curtains that hung over the 4 poster beds. Check out any of the Harry Potter flicks. Old castle, old beds.

I would. Please and thank you.

well yeah, they used to "terminate" life at 48 because of the great magnesium shortage of 1912.
And shorter houses in Hawaii are due to the fact that they didn't have ladders. -
Of course the average male life span was 48 at that time. Half the children died due to infections and these children were factored into the male life span. Even the State of Massachusetts acknowledges on a website that people back then lived longer, healthier lives. I find it odd that people in this country view doctors as gods and dare not do anything without the exalted doctor's approval. Yet, the doctor cures nothing except infections with antibiotics. All he does is write prescriptions for fools who seem to expect nothing more than a man made pill to suppress symptoms rather than trying different things to cure the problem. My landlord's wife was full of pain in her legs and could barely walk and had high blood pressure. She went for a red cell magnesium test, and lo and behold, she was severely deficient in magnesium. Now her legs are improving and she is able to walk again. Her blood pressure also dropped. Her husband had the same test and it turned out that he was in the same condition as her. His leg problems cleared up and his blood pressure dropped. They are both disgusted with all the doctors who NEVER suggested taking this test at any time. I guess this won't get through to brain dead fools who worship doctors as superior to God and who are too frightened to try something different and ridicule what they fear. Not that I care. No skin off my teeth. Just curious: Let's say that you took your car to a mechanic and the car came back in the same poor condition that you brought it in, would you continue to use this mechanic and abide by his every word as though he was a god? Even if the car never got fixed and even got progressively worse? No you wouldn't and would probably try to sue the mechanic to get your money back. Yet, most of you don't take nearly this much care with your own bodies. The only one who cares about you is you. Go laugh and pop your pills and then start a thread about how your company will no longer let you drive due to your many uncured ailments. I'm just sitting back at 55 years old with zero health problems and passing off as far younger than my years due to no wrinkles and rumples. Just sitting back at laughing away. I'm sure that KateL is doing the same.

so you're saying that Doctors don't do anything other than prescribe antibiotics.

Doctors are only useful for injuries, such as gunshot wounds, crashes, an emergency situation. When it comes to curing ailments, they are useless. What do they cure? High blood preesure? Parkinsons? Diabetes? Acid Reflux? NO. Try to think of one. All they do at that point is prescribe medications that strictly provide COMFORT CARE while you are slowly dying of a disease. A disease you never should have contracted if your diet was proper and according to the laws of nature. I had a severe case of acid reflux. All doctors did was prescribe medication to suppress symptoms, a cure is never offered. I cured it myself simply by eating foods that are high in animal fat and staying away from low fat foods. I used to have daily attacks. I haven't had an attack now in 3 years. I'm sure you'll make fun of that, too. Of course, they won't prescribe things to you such as magnesium or Vitamin B 12. They won't even suggest tests to check for nutritional deficiencies. There's no money to be made in that. It's against federal to patent anything that naturally occurs in nature. If it can't be patented, its never suggested. No major drug company can touch that and doctors work for them. Did you know that everytime a doctor writes a prescription, he gets "points". The doctor accumulates so many points and he can cash them in for free vacations, etc. I know this because I once owned stock in a major drug company. It amazes me how ignorant people are and how people are willing to settle for cheesy comfort care rather than trying to get cured. As Linus Pauling, a 2 time Nobel Prize winner, said, "Every disease and problem that a person has, can be traced to a nutritional deficiency problem". Doctor isn't going to figure it out for you because its a big bucks loss for him. Intelligent people take the bull by the horns and figure it out for themselves.

Ever think, just maybe, your doctor sucked. Or maybe you should have gone to a specialist instead of a generalist?
